rejected speculation about sale MEF
The Defense Minister Antero Flores-Araoz, today rejected the criticism and speculation in some quarters about the proposed sale of land adjacent to the Army Headquarters, but said he was prepared to assess the considerations technical breach of that operation. Questioned that although signing was not any resolution authorizing the sale, nor has it signed a contract with National Heritage to carry out this operation, claiming that the land be sold to Chilean businessmen and of course there is a lobby for the award . He responded well to expressions of former President Alejandro Toledo, who did not rule out the possibility of cases dealt in this operation. "Former President Toledo today tells tenants (Palace) are not the owners of Peru, and he is not the owner nor a tenant, is a former tenant. It was a head of state, has a valuable opinion, but I that a former president is the most important issues, "he argued. (Andina)
